Upcycled Dog Bed

I've been eager to spoil Doc Briscoe with some of my recent Pinterest finds. Here is the upcycled dog bed I made for him from a $10.00 suitcase from Goodwill. He loves it and it was a significant savings when compared to the beds that I was pricing at Petco. I used the top and bottom to make two beds (one for hanging with me in the studio and one for the livingroom).

My next project will be a traveling dog bed (simiar to the photo below) for Doc's first sleepover at my sister's house!
Here are several tutorials on how to make your own!

Refurbish & Regenerate

DIY Recycled Computer Desk

I've been looking for a solution for a computer desk for the longest time. I was looking for something simple, narrow in depth but long in width, and cheap. I picked up the folding closet door below for $5.00 at Habitat Restore.
I applied two coats of paint on one panel after disconnecting the doors.
My favorite handyman attached three sturdy brackets to the studs.
And I now have the desk that I've always wanted. Including the cost of the brackets and paint, the project totaled just under $30.00.
